What will you do?

As a Financial controller you will be part of the Financial Control team, where all control and financial reporting activities for the consolidated and statutory accounts take place. You will focus on maintaining, closing and reporting upon the entities of NIBC. This involves multiple disciplines such as Dutch GAAP reporting and group reporting (IFRS). You will be involved in the monthly Financial closing process and perform controls and analysis.


Your team

As a Financial controller you will be based in The Hague. You will be part of the Financial Control team of NIBC’s Accounting, Reporting & Tax department. Within NIBC the Financial Control team is responsible for the elimination and consolidation process, as well as performing and coordinating the monthly closing procedures and preparing the IFRS-based financial statements and disclosures for NIBC. The team is also responsible for the control framework within Finance. Within the team, with a mix in experience and backgrounds, we strive for an informal, collegial atmosphere where respect, appreciation and positivity are core values.

The Finance organisation supports management with information to effectively steer the organization with timely, reliable and relevant information. It ensures NIBC is compliant with applicable laws and regulations regarding financial and regulatory reporting. What will you bring

  • You have completed a relevant degree (a Bachelor or Master degree in Accountancy or Business economics)
  • You have approximately 1 to 4 years of relevant working experience
  • Knowledge of and experience with setting up financial statements
  • Experience with Unit4 Audition (Exact) is a plus
  • Fluent language skills in English and Dutch
